M's song

I can't post B's favorite song without posting Matthew's.

Matthew heard this song when Uncle Bubba took him to the lake to drop off B, C, and B for their visit with Papa and Cindy. He woke up the next day and asked me about the song and he was able to sing enough of it for me to Google the lyrics. (Anyone notice a trend? I LOVE Google!) Anyway, I found the name of the song and band, then found the video on You Tube. It's a little weird/disturbing, but M doesn't watch that - he just sings the song. It almost never fails to get him singing and smiling. When he's grumpy (or as he used to say "floppy") I'll put it on and he usually grins and then starts singing. His (and Bradley's) favorite part is the growl towards the end. "I feel like a monster!" That growl scared my mom the first time she heard it - she wasn't even comforted by the fact that Skillet is a Christian Band.

And now....Monster, by Skillet

Trying again

I read blogs all the time, but I never kept up with this one. I'm trying again to see if it sticks this time. It'll be a little bit of an update on my family, a little bit of a personal journal, a little bit of whatever comes to my head.

One thing I've been thinking about is sharing music that means something to me. I often hear a song and post it to Facebook, but I'd love to post them on here so they're easier to group together. It could be a song that has brought back memories or a song I've just heard and I want to share. So... what should be first?

Hmmm....how about the one that Bradley is singing all the time now.

Dynamite by Taio Cruz

B discovered this song when he was downloading Flip Notes on his DSi. He kept singing it and so I Googled to look up the lyrics and see what he was singing. It's catchy so I downloaded it and now we hear it a lot. It cracks me up because B sings it with so much energy. He even counts on the "I told you once, now I told you twice" part. It also makes me laugh that as much as B loves it - M hates it. He puts his hands over his ears and just glares at us while we dance and sing. I guess he hopes it'll make us stop, but it just makes us sing louder and dance crazier.
